I.O.I Heats Up Comeback with Pre-Release Track 'Goodbye with a Smile'

The group I.O.I is ramping up excitement for their comeback with a pre-release track.

I.O.I members Lim Na-young, Chungha, Kim Se-jeong, Jung Chae-yeon, Kim So-hye, Yoo Yeon-jung, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Do-yeon, and Jeon So-mi will release the pre-release track 'Goodbye with a Smile (Recorded in 2016) (Prod. Jinyoung)' from their third mini-album 'I.O.I : LOOP' on November 4 at 6 PM.

The pre-release track 'Goodbye with a Smile' is an archival recording that captures the unadorned voices and emotions of the members from 2016. Producer Jinyoung, who has musically connected with I.O.I over the years, participated in the production to enhance its lyrical quality.

The lyrics convey a tender promise from that time, choosing smiles over tears in the face of an impending farewell, wishing each other well for the future. This mature greeting from a decade ago is set to offer a profound resonance that transcends time and space for both I.O.I and their fans.

I.O.I is set to release their new album 'I.O.I : LOOP' on November 19. Members Jeon So-mi, Chungha, and Yoo Yeon-jung have contributed to the lyrics and composition of the title track 'Suddenly' and other songs in the album.

Following the release of their third mini-album on November 19, I.O.I will kick off their Asia tour '2026 I.O.I Concert Tour: LOOP' with a three-day concert from November 29 to 31 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul.
