Lee Min-woo of the group Shinhwa has revealed that his fiancée is expecting to give birth in December.
On the 16th episode of KBS2's variety show 'Mr. House Husband Season 2', Lee Min-woo traveled to Japan to reunite with his fiancée, third-generation Korean-Japanese Lee Ami, and her 6-year-old daughter.
During the episode, Lee Min-woo met his fiancée for the first time in about three months. She shared, "I am currently 21 weeks pregnant, about six months along. The due date is December 4th." She added, "It wasn't a planned pregnancy, so we had many discussions about our future. I suggested that we trust each other and try living together."
The fiancée, a Pilates instructor, mentioned that she continues to teach classes despite her pregnancy. She revealed, "I even experienced bleeding during pregnancy. Although he tells me not to overdo it, I don't want to be a financial burden on him. So, I decided to continue teaching classes."
Later, the gender of Lee Min-woo and Lee Ami's baby was revealed. Lee Ami prepared a gender reveal party with her daughter before the birth. When Lee Min-woo popped the balloon, pink confetti burst out, indicating they are expecting a girl.
However, Lee Ami's daughter, who had hoped for a brother, burst into tears, saying, "If it's a sister, Min-woo and mom will be taken away." Lee Min-woo comforted her, assuring, "You will always be the first priority."
Meanwhile, Lee Min-woo announced his marriage on his social media last month on the 25th. He stated, "After going through various situations recently, I spent a lot of time with my family, which made me reflect on the meaning of family. I always had a vague desire to 'create my own family that supports each other.' During this time, I confirmed mutual feelings with a precious person I've known for a long time, and we decided to become a family."
He continued, "I struggled with how to share this news and it wasn't easy to pick up the pen, but I wanted to share it first with Shinhwa Changjo, who might feel upset if they heard it elsewhere. I hope you can bless this story, which I share with sincerity, with warm hearts."
Finally, he promised, "Although there will be changes in my life, I promise to continue meeting Shinhwa Changjo on stage and elsewhere, fueled by the love of Shinhwa Changjo and my family."
