The K-pop group ASTRO has claimed the top spot in the Male Idol Group category at the 13th TOP TEN AWARDS (TTA), competing for the title of 'Best Global Artist'.
Organized by TENASIA, the 13th TTA is an event that selects the best global artists for the first half of 2025. Artists representing K-pop and K-content competed for the 'Best Global Artist' title at the 13th TTA.
ASTRO expressed their gratitude, saying, "ASTRO has become the number one male idol group at TTA. We owe this award to our fans, AROHA. Thank you for always supporting and loving us. We will continue to do our best in our respective positions, so please continue to show your interest and support." The members reiterated their appreciation, saying, "Thank you, AROHA," showing their love for their fans.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, ASTRO has been showcasing their talents both as a group and individually. In June, they held their first full-group concert in three years at Incheon Inspire Arena and Japan's Fukuoka PayPay Dome, with former member Rocky joining them for added significance.
The eldest member MJ and leader JinJin are set to debut as the unit ZOONIZINI (MJ & JinJin) on the 13th. JinJin took charge of writing and composing the title track, as well as producing the entire album, enhancing its quality. Yoon San-ha released his second solo mini-album on the 15th and took on his first lead role in a terrestrial drama, 'My Girlfriend is the Man', on KBS2. Cha Eun-woo is fulfilling his military duty in the army band.
The preliminary voting for TTA took place from May 19 to June 1, followed by the final voting from June 5 to 14. ASTRO was selected in the Male Idol Group category, while NiziU was chosen in the Female Idol Group category. BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jisoo were named in the Male and Female Solo Idol categories, respectively. The Rookie category trophy went to NEXZ.
