According to Billboard's preview article for the Hot 100 chart dated November 9th, the girl group HUNTRIX's song 'Golden' from 'K-Demon Hunters' has climbed to the No. 2 spot.
The track has been on the chart for six consecutive weeks, and this week it topped the streaming category with 28.9 million streams, marking a 13% increase from the previous week. It also garnered 4.9 million radio listeners (a 31% increase) and sold 50,000 copies (a 19% increase).
The rise in popularity of 'Golden' is largely attributed to DJ and producer David Guetta, who released a remix version on October 25th, drawing renewed attention to the track.
'Golden' has also reached No. 1 three times on Billboard's Global 200 and Global (excluding the U.S.) charts. It topped the UK Official Singles Chart as well.
HUNTRIX's rival boy group, Lion Voice, saw their song 'Your Idol' rise from No. 12 to No. 9, marking their first entry into the top 10. This track has also been on the chart for six weeks.
The competition between the two groups in the animation is being mirrored in real life as both make their mark on the Billboard charts, bringing the world of 'K-Demon Hunters' to life.
The OST's popularity has also sparked interest in the actual vocalists.
HUNTRIX member Lumi's vocals are provided by SM Entertainment trainee-turned-composer EJAE (Kim Eun-jae), while Mira's part is sung by Korean-American singer-songwriter Audrey Nuna (Choo Hae-won), and Joy's part by rapper Rei Ami (Lee Ye-eun).
The vocals for 'Lion Voice' are performed by composer Andrew Choi, Danny Jung, former U-KISS member Kevin Woo, former Zero-X member Nekwave, and producer samUILee.
