Xdinary Heroes, the boy band under JYP Entertainment, made their debut at the world-renowned music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago,' showcasing their potential as a 'global K-pop super band.'
On July 31st, Xdinary Heroes took the stage at THE GROVE, the final stage of the festival held at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. Lollapalooza, which began in Chicago in 1991, is a massive music festival that takes place in various locations worldwide, including the United States, France, Chile, and Brazil.
Xdinary Heroes captivated the audience with their dynamic band performance and powerful vocals. They kicked off with the metal genre track 'FIGHT ME,' followed by 'Break the Brake,' 'Bicycle,' 'Strawberry Cake,' 'Freakin' Bad,' 'George the Lobster,' 'MONEYBALL,' and 'Money On My Mind,' heating up the Chicago summer night with their overwhelming rock sound.
They continued to convey their unique emotions with 'Beautiful Life,' 'Save me,' and 'Young, Shy, Foolish.' During the chorus of 'Save me,' the crowd sang along, and for 'Young, Shy, Foolish,' English-translated lyrics were displayed on the screen, allowing the audience to connect with the lyrics written by the members themselves.
Xdinary Heroes showcased their wide musical spectrum with tracks like 'LOVE and FEAR,' 'Diamond,' 'iNSTEAD! (Feat. YB Yoon Do-hyun),' and 'FiRE (My Sweet Misery),' demonstrating their versatility as a 'melting pot of genres.'
During the transition from 'Diamond' to 'iNSTEAD!,' Gunil's drumming captivated the audience, while Jooyeon followed up his shouting in 'Diamond' with growling in 'iNSTEAD!,' further energizing the atmosphere. They concluded their solo stage with their debut track 'Happy Death Day,' full of youthful spirit.
