Singer and actress IU has won the Best Actress award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards.
On the 18th, at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards held at Paradise City in Incheon, IU was honored with the Best Actress award for her role in the Netflix series 'You Have Done Well'. The ceremony was hosted by Jun Hyun-moo and Yoona. IU took to the stage with an emotional expression to deliver her acceptance speech.
IU began her speech by saying, "I am IU, who played the roles of Ae-soon and Geum-myung in 'You Have Done Well'. I am truly grateful." She continued, "From the moment I was offered the role, during filming, while waiting for the broadcast, during the broadcast, until now, and in the future, this will be the greatest pride of my life." She added, "It was an honor to work with the 'You Have Done Well' team."
In conclusion, IU expressed, "In a world that forces us to live vaguely, I want to pay respect and gratitude to all the Ae-soons who lived their lives more vividly than anyone else, and to all the Geum-myungs who planted and nurtured their ambitions with determination." She ended her speech with a smile.
Meanwhile, IU received critical acclaim for her dual roles in 'You Have Done Well' earlier this year, but she missed out on the Best Actress award at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards in May, where the award went to actress Kim Tae-ri.
