Previously, Jessi was involved in a controversy regarding an alleged assault on a fan. According to police reports, on September 29th of last year, a minor fan requested a photo with Jessi in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam, and was allegedly assaulted by a male member of Jessi's entourage. Jessi was investigated in connection with the incident, but authorities found no evidence of wrongdoing on her part and cleared her of any charges.
Meanwhile, Jessi released her new digital single 'Newsflash' on the 27th of last month. 'Newsflash' marks her first release since establishing her independent label, UNNI COMPANY.
