Jay Park is set to release his new single and music video.
On October 18th at 6 PM KST, Jay Park will drop his latest digital single 'Remedy' across various online music platforms.
'Remedy' marks Jay Park's first release in two months since 'Keep It Sexy (MOMMAE 2) (Feat. Jeon Somi)', which came out in May. The new track is a synthwave style song characterized by sophisticated instrumentation and a dreamy mood. The song's production was elevated by the involvement of renowned producer Brian Lee, known for his collaborations with global stars like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Post Malone.
Ahead of the release, Jay Park hosted a music video preview event for 'Remedy' on October 17th at the CGV I'Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul. The event was attended by around 200 fans who got an exclusive first look at the music video, along with insights into the song's creation, its music video concept, and behind-the-scenes stories.
Jay Park shared that the music video was inspired by the concept of 'Russian Roulette', explaining, "In relationships, when pride battles over a breakup, it feels like Russian Roulette. As the lyrics suggest, while bluffing each other, they ultimately become each other's remedy, akin to Russian Roulette."
Additionally, Jay Park expressed his thoughts on acting alongside actress Chun Woo-hee, whom he met at the '3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards'. He said, "I felt sorry for not holding back, but it was great to create something together through communication."
Furthermore, Jay Park revealed that the lyrics of 'Remedy' are entirely in English, and he enlisted the help of translator Hwang Seok-hee, known for translating popular films like 'Deadpool', 'Spider-Man', and 'Avatar', to craft the Korean lyrics, drawing significant attention.
During a Q&A session with fans, Jay Park discussed his future plans, announcing an upcoming digital single with Japanese lyrics. This will be his first Japanese single, produced in collaboration with a local Japanese producer, heightening fans' anticipation.
Jay Park's new digital single 'Remedy' will be available on various online music platforms at 6 PM KST.
