SM Entertainment has announced legal actions concerning false information and privacy violations related to the group RIIZE.
On the 15th, SM stated, "We have filed complaints against individuals spreading false information about RIIZE on certain online platforms."
They further explained, "Some individuals who impersonated acquaintances of the members and continuously created false information have been identified. Among those confirmed to have engaged in illegal activities, some have been prosecuted and fined since being referred to the prosecution last year."
SM is also addressing those who have illegally accessed members' personal information to alter or cancel flight bookings, thereby disrupting schedules. SM warned, "This constitutes obstruction of business and may be subject to claims for damages. Please be cautious to avoid involvement in such unfortunate incidents."
Additionally, through fan reports and constant monitoring, SM has taken action against malicious posts in online communities. SM stated, "We are pursuing both criminal and civil actions against individuals who have targeted members with malicious posts on platforms such as DC Inside, Women's Generation, Nate Pann, Instiz, The Qoo, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, regardless of whether they are domestic or international."
SM also issued a warning against spreading false information about management staff. "We are in the process of collecting sufficient evidence and proceeding with legal actions, so please refrain from personal attacks and insults," SM cautioned.
In conclusion, SM emphasized, "We will respond firmly and without leniency to any indiscriminate illegal activities related to RIIZE. Please be particularly careful to avoid actions that could lead to punishment."
