On the 15th, Onew held a media showcase at the Myung Hwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of his second full-length solo album, 'PERCENT'.
'PERCENT' marks Onew's first album release in about five months, following his mini-album 'CONNECTION' in January. The SHINee members have yet to hear Onew's new tracks. He explained, "I came back so quickly that there wasn't time to meet and share the music. So, I couldn't play it for them this time," adding, "When we meet again and work together, I think we'll have a lot of feedback for each other."
Onew also shared what he hopes to hear from his bandmates. "They call me 'Inspiration'. I think it's because I sing ballads and have a calm demeanor. I'd love to hear them say, 'Inspiration has gotten hip,' or 'You've really stepped up your game,'" he said with a smile.
The title track of Onew's new album, 'ANIMALS', captures the moment of instinctual liberation, featuring a refined bassline and acoustic guitar sound. The album includes a total of 11 tracks, with Onew actively participating in the overall production process, just as he did with his previous work.
Onew's second full-length album 'PERCENT' will be available on various music streaming platforms from 6 PM today.
