Legendary Singer Cho Yong-pil to Perform at KBS Chuseok Special Show
Legendary singer Cho Yong-pil is set to make a special appearance on KBS's Chuseok special show.

According to TenAsia's report on the 8th, Cho Yong-pil is preparing for a performance at the KBS Chuseok special show, which will be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. It is reported that Cho Yong-pil readily agreed to participate in the KBS Chuseok special.

Celebrating his 57th anniversary in the music industry, Cho Yong-pil, at the age of 75, continues to write his legendary story. The return of this legend, who is rarely seen on TV, has already created a buzz within KBS. There are ongoing discussions about naming the Chuseok special show.

Previously, singer Na Hoon-a participated in the KBS Chuseok special show in 2020, performing without a fee to comfort the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, setting an example for younger artists. In 2021, Lim Young-woong also participated in the Chuseok special show 'We Are Hero Lim Young-woong' without a fee.

Cho Yong-pil debuted in 1969 with the group Five Fingers on the US 8th Army stage and has since become a symbol of the Korean music industry with countless hits like 'Come Back to Busan Port', 'Leopard of Kilimanjaro', 'Short Hair', and 'Woman Outside the Window'. He has achieved numerous milestones, including being the first Korean artist to surpass 10 million album sales, the first Korean artist to appear on Japan's NHK 'Kohaku Uta Gassen', and the first Korean artist to perform at Carnegie Hall in the United States.
