EPIK HIGH Explores Past Lives in New 'EPIKASE' Episode
EPIK HIGH delves into intriguing past lives in their latest episode.

On November 3rd, EPIK HIGH members Tablo, Mithra, and Tukutz released a new episode of 'EPIKASE' on their official YouTube channel.

In the video, Tablo humorously remarked, “I need to find out what I did wrong in my past life to be sharing everything equally with you two,” hinting at an upcoming past life experience. Tukutz confidently stated, “I don’t think I’ll be hypnotized,” while Tablo added, “I have a strong mentality, so brainwashing is impossible for me.”

Upon arriving at the hypnosis center, Tukutz was the first to undergo the past life experience. He traveled back to a time resembling the late Joseon Dynasty or the Korean Empire. In his past life, Tukutz was the son of a high-ranking official, living in a grand traditional house. Despite an unwanted marriage in his 30s, he aspired to start a big business, which he eventually achieved in his 40s.

However, his past life's business involved selling 'white powder,' shocking Tablo and Mithra, who jokingly urged, “Go in and slap him awake!” Despite amassing wealth from the 'white powder' trade, past-life Tukutz gave back to society and passed away in his 50s. Reflecting on the experience, Tukutz commented, “It felt like an episode passing by.”

Next, Mithra attempted the past life experience but was unable to fully enter hypnosis. Briefly hypnotized, Mithra described being in a bamboo forest wearing a black robe, prompting Tablo and Tukutz to joke, “You were a panda in your past life.”

Despite claiming to have the strongest mentality, Tablo quickly fell into hypnosis. In his past life, he was a mother running a small, charming dress shop in a French village, but tragically lost her daughter to the plague.

To make matters worse, the villagers accused past-life Tablo of not praying, blaming her for her daughter's death and branding her a witch. Captured while fleeing, she was burned at the stake, ending her past life in tragedy. Upon awakening, Tablo expressed amazement, saying, “Even if I wanted to make it funny in my head, I couldn’t. There are lines you shouldn’t cross.”

Previously, Tablo faced a witch hunt of his own when he was accused of academic fraud despite earning his degrees from Stanford University. The controversy began in May 2010 with the creation of an online cafe called 'Tajinyo' (We Demand the Truth from Tablo).

Meanwhile, EPIK HIGH has surpassed one million subscribers on their official YouTube channel, earning the Gold Play Button. They continue to upload diverse content weekly.
