BTS has officially announced their comeback for spring 2026.
On July 1st, at around 9:20 PM, BTS went live on the fan platform Weverse to share the exciting news. They revealed, "We plan to release a group album next spring. Starting in July, we'll be working together to prepare. Since it's a group album, all members' thoughts will be included. We're going back to our roots for this project." They also added, "With the new album, we plan to embark on a world tour. We look forward to visiting various places around the globe, so please anticipate it."
The group further detailed their plans to head to the United States in July to begin music production and performance preparations. With the release of their new album in 2026, BTS aims to launch a massive world tour, painting the world purple once again. This will be their first world tour since the 'BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE' tour concluded in 2022, which attracted approximately 4 million attendees through in-person performances, online live streaming, live viewing, and live play.
BTS also discussed their upcoming activities for the latter half of the year. They shared insights from Jin's fan concert tour, which kicked off in Goyang on October 28-29. Members who attended the concert expressed, "It was really fun to watch. Jin played the piano so well, and it was a performance only he could deliver," showing their support for Jin. J-Hope, having successfully completed his 'j-hope Tour 'HOPE ON THE STAGE',' will headline at 'Lollapalooza Berlin' at the Olympiastadion Berlin on December 12-13. The members commented, "We're really looking forward to it and believe he'll do great."
This group live broadcast was BTS's first since September 2022. The live broadcast, which lasted about 30 minutes, surpassed 7.3 million real-time views.
