Actor Lim Cheol-soo recently shared his thoughts on appearing in variety shows.
In a recent interview at a café in Gangnam, Seoul, Lim Cheol-soo discussed his role in the tvN drama 'Our Unwritten Seoul.'
'Our Unwritten Seoul' is a romantic growth drama about twin sisters who swap lives and discover true love and life through their lies.
Lim Cheol-soo plays Lee Choong-gu, a highly successful lawyer and senior to Lee Ho-soo (played by Park Jin-young). His character is known for his warm smile but possesses a sharp judgment.
Lim Cheol-soo has gained recognition with successful roles in MBC's 'When the Phone Rings,' JTBC's 'A Virtuous Business,' and tvN's 'Our Unwritten Seoul.' When asked about the response from those around him, Lim shared, "Park Hae-soo told me he's heard a lot about me. We've been friends for 20 years, and he monitors my work. We often discuss acting, and we talked about it just the other day."
He added, "I'm grateful to hear that people see different sides of me and like it. Hae-soo also praised me a lot. I feel like I'm lacking, but hearing compliments from someone close makes me happy. I couldn't watch the first two episodes because I felt I was lacking. There's always something to improve."
Lim also spoke about his long-standing friendship with actor Park Hae-soo, mentioning, "Many actors live in our neighborhood. We go freediving, play golf, and walk together. I see Hae-soo often since he lives just 10 minutes away. We constantly talk about acting, exercise, and prepare for projects."
Regarding variety shows, Lim expressed a positive attitude, saying, "It's a different world, but I'd like to try it. My mom loves 'King of Mask Singer,' so I'd like to appear on it. I can sing a bit," he said with a laugh.
Lim also mentioned, "There's a show called 'Traveler' that I'd love to try. I've watched every season. I'd like to travel with Hae-soo and some close friends and have genuine conversations on a show like that."
