Korean actress Ko So-young recently shared an update on her health and family life.
On the 27th, Ko So-young's YouTube channel 'Just Ko So-young' released a video titled 'The Gimbap & Cucumber Kimchi My Family Makes Instead of Buying'.
In the video, Ko So-young revealed her unique gimbap recipe. She prepared the ingredients with great care, starting 30 minutes before the filming crew arrived. When someone apologized for suggesting gimbap, she smiled and said, "I love gimbap."
Ko So-young highlighted her special ingredient, 'stir-fried dried gourd', saying, "My mom always included it in gimbap when I was young. It's a nostalgic recipe."
She mentioned that her family has diverse tastes, saying, "My son can't eat cucumbers, but I really love them. Especially since cucumbers are in season now, I plan to share my cucumber kimchi recipe."
When her son expressed hunger, Ko So-young quickly made gimbap without cucumbers for him, noting, "Gimbap is high in calories at 400 kcal, so we use vanadium rice, which is lower in sugar."
While pressing the gimbap, Ko So-young mentioned experiencing arm pain, saying, "I've developed tendinitis recently, so my arm is weak. I used to be very strong, but now my arm hurts," and humorously added, "Is this a kind of frozen shoulder? Please edit this out."
After showcasing her gimbap and cucumber kimchi recipes, Ko So-young reflected, "The food we ate as children holds memories. It's not that the food my mom made was extraordinary, but it was home-cooked." She then quickly wrapped up the filming, drawing attention.
