Katy Perry, 40, and Orlando Bloom, 48, are reportedly going their separate ways after nearly nine years together.
On October 26th, US Weekly reported that the couple has decided to part ways. According to the report, the two have been living apart since earlier this year when Katy Perry embarked on her world tour. A source stated, "They are already done. They plan to delay any official announcement until the tour concludes."
Katy Perry is currently on her 'The Lifetimes Tour,' which began on April 23 and will run until December 7. The long tour schedule is said to have created distance in their relationship. Additionally, there are reports that Katy felt significant psychological pressure after her album '143,' released last year, received a lukewarm response.
Given Katy's previous experience with a divorce in 2010, which involved complex procedures like asset division, insiders say she is relieved to part ways without legal marriage this time. "She's glad not to go through the divorce process again," a source revealed.
Their split was also indirectly confirmed by a recent People report, which stated, "Katy is prioritizing her daughter, Daisy Dove, and plans to continue co-parenting with Orlando." Another insider mentioned, "The gap between them has grown too wide to mend, and they seem to have made the decision for each other's sake. They maintain an amicable relationship for their daughter's sake."
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were first spotted together at a Golden Globes after-party in 2016, marking the beginning of their romance. They briefly split in 2017, reunited in 2018, and got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2019. In August 2020, they welcomed their first daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
