ENHYPEN's Sunoo has been honored as the 'Artist of the Month' for June.
The accolade was awarded through a recent poll conducted by TENASIA on their global voting platform, Top Ten TENASIA, to select the 'Artist of the Month - June Birthday Star.'
Among K-pop artists born in June, Sunoo received the highest number of votes, earning him the title of 'Artist of the Month' for June.
Born on June 24, 2003, Sunoo debuted as a member of ENHYPEN through the Mnet survival audition program 'I-LAND.' Known for his exceptional talent, Sunoo is praised for his refreshing and clear vocal tone, as well as his expressive performances that enhance the mood of their songs.
Sunoo is also recognized for his philanthropic efforts. In March, he donated 30 million KRW to aid recovery efforts and support victims of wildfire-affected areas. Sunoo expressed his condolences to those affected by the wildfires and gratitude to the firefighters, wishing for everyone's safety. The donation was used for emergency living support, relief supplies, and temporary shelters in regions like Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.
ENHYPEN, the group Sunoo is part of, has garnered immense love both domestically and internationally with their unique hit songs. Their popular tracks include 'CRIMINAL LOVE,' 'Drunk-Dazed,' 'Sweet Venom,' and 'XO (Only If You Say Yes).' The members, including Sunoo, have showcased a wide range of charms, from refreshing concepts to darker themes.
ENHYPEN's mini-album 'DESIRE : UNLEASH' recorded the second-highest first-week sales among K-pop albums released this year. According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold a total of 2,145,499 copies in its first week (June 5-11). ENHYPEN is one of only two artists to achieve 'double million-seller' status in first-week sales this year. The album set a new record for the group's highest first-day sales, selling over 1.89 million copies on its release day. It also achieved career-high rankings on major Japanese charts.
ENHYPEN is set to release their fourth Japanese single '宵 -YOI-' on July 29, furthering their global activities. The single will feature three tracks expressing desire and instinct towards a loved one. Following the release, they will hold a showcase on July 31 to connect with local fans.
The group is also preparing for their entry into major Japanese stadiums. They will perform at Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium on July 5-6 and Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai on August 2-3 for the 'ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'WALK THE LINE' IN JAPAN -SUMMER EDITION-.' This marks the shortest time for an overseas artist to enter a Japanese stadium post-debut, achieving this milestone in just 4 years and 7 months.
