Forestella's Go Woo-rim Shares Heartwarming Love Story with Kim Yuna

Forestella's Go Woo-rim recently opened up about his love story with Olympic champion Kim Yuna.

On the October 18th episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star,' Go Woo-rim appeared as a guest alongside Kim Tae-kyun, Cheon Rok-dam Lee Jung, and Lee Dae-hyung for the 'Mr. Voice' special.

During the show, Go Woo-rim shared that after his military discharge, he and Kim Yuna went on a 9-night, 10-day trip to Paris. He recounted, "At the first hotel we stayed at, a staff member recognized my wife and congratulated her on her successful life as an Olympic champion. I felt a sense of pride."

He attributed his deep voice as a reason for their marriage, saying, "My wife never imagined marrying someone younger. With a five-year age gap, I tried to be mature and articulate."

Interestingly, it was Kim Yuna who first reached out to Go Woo-rim. He recalled, "We first met at an ice show when she came to my dressing room for a signed CD. I didn't think about dating her then, but I felt something special."

He continued, "Our leader, Min-kyu, had dinner with her first, and it was my birthday that day. After hearing about it, she sent me a DM. Eventually, Min-kyu, Yuna, and I hung out together, and as Min-kyu stepped back, Yuna and I started seeing each other more." They kept their relationship secret for four years, prompting host Kim Gura to comment, "You're like a vault. Impressive."

Regarding his proposal, Go Woo-rim said, "I knew she'd feel pressured if I rented a private space, so I proposed in the car first." He added, "After promising to marry, a lot of time passed, so I proposed again at a gathering she attended, surprising her and reaffirming our commitment."

Go Woo-rim mentioned they've never fought, saying, "My wife says I have my own stubbornness. I speak up when I strongly disagree. She appreciates that I'm not just easygoing but have principles and determination."
