Taeil, formerly of the K-pop group NCT, appeared at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 18th for the first hearing of his trial. He is facing charges under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, specifically for aggravated rape.
Former NCT Member Taeil Faces Trial for Sexual Assault Charges

Taeil is accused of sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman in June of last year, along with two acquaintances.

Taeil debuted in 2016 with NCT's first unit, NCT U, and was an active member of both NCT and NCT 127. Following the confirmation of his criminal activities, SM Entertainment swiftly announced his departure from the group and terminated his exclusive contract in October of last year.
