Seohyun, a member of Girls' Generation and an actress, has effectively acknowledged her stance on remaining single.
On the 16th, a video titled 'The Era of Great Attention! Girls' Generation's Last Variety Show Like a Blaze' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhanyoung Shindongyeop.'
In the video, Seohyun revealed that she was the 'CCTV of Girls' Generation,' saying, "I would take care of the members when they drank, taking them to their rooms and helping them remove their makeup. I even stopped them from going out when they were drunk." Hyoyeon, who was Seohyun's roommate, added, "Seohyun would give advice like a parent. It was appreciated. In our 20s, there were times we wanted to party more and date more. But Seohyun would remind us, 'We are the face of Girls' Generation, we shouldn't do that.' Eventually, we stopped telling her who we were dating because of her nagging."
Seohyun, who has never been involved in dating rumors since her debut, stated, "Girls' Generation was everything to me. It was my goal, my dream, my identity." She continued, "As the youngest, I felt that I shouldn't be involved in any dating scandals." She also shared, "I gained a lot of indirect experience by observing the people my members dated, thinking, 'I shouldn't date someone like that, or that person seems okay.'"
Seohyun had previously mentioned that her ideal type was 'a man like me.' This led to discussions in online communities suggesting she had declared a stance on remaining single. Seohyun responded, "I saw that. I somewhat agree. I believe there is a man like me out there," effectively acknowledging her stance on remaining single.
