Actor Kim Do-wan has been cast in the film 'Goblin: Body Snatcher', marking his return to the big screen after six years.
On the 14th, it was confirmed by TenAsia that Kim Do-wan will star in 'Goblin: Body Snatcher'. The film is a traditional horror movie based on the Korean folklore 'Hokburi Old Man'. It revolves around bizarre and eerie events involving a terminally ill blonde rocker, a mysterious girl, and a blue-eyed stranger.
Born in 1995, Kim Do-wan graduated from Kaywon High School of Arts and Sejong University with a major in Film Arts. He made his public debut in 2017 as a model for Anormal Perfume and began his acting career with the web drama 'Seventeen'. Since then, he has appeared in various films and dramas, steadily gaining recognition.
Kim has been featured in films like 'Park Hwa-young' and 'Miss & Mrs. Cops'. He caught attention in the drama 'Start-Up' as Nam Joo-hyuk's business partner and played a clumsy young man in love in 'My Roommate Is a Gumiho'. He reunited with Suzy in 'The Girl Downstairs' after three years. Last year, he portrayed a character in a fake marriage with Jeon Jong-seo in 'Wedding Impossible'.
His role in 'Wedding Impossible' as a supporting male character further solidified his presence. The casting news for 'Goblin: Body Snatcher' comes six years after his last major film role in 'Miss & Mrs. Cops', excluding a cameo in 'Long Time No See'.
Currently, Kim Do-wan stars in 'ONE: High School Heroes' alongside Lee Jung-ha and Yook Joon-seo. He was with Awesome ENT from July 2018 until his contract expired in August last year, after which he joined Namoo Actors, home to stars like Park Eun-bin and Song Kang.
An industry insider commented on Kim Do-wan, saying, "His solid foundation in acting, honed since his teenage years at arts high school and university, has allowed him to build a diverse filmography across web dramas, films, and TV. His presence continues to grow each year, and his early 30s is an ideal time for him to make significant strides as an actor."
