Veteran actress Kim Young-ok has opened up about the possibility of a late-life divorce after 65 years of marriage.
On the October 7th episode of MBN's 'Dongchimi', Kim Young-ok was seen consulting with a divorce attorney about the intricacies of late-life divorce.
During the show, Kim expressed her curiosity about the division of assets, stating, "I'm really curious about the asset division ratio in a late-life divorce. I just want to live quietly now and enjoy the rest of my life alone."
In response, attorney An So-hyun explained, "There is no fixed rule for asset division. It varies depending on the size of the assets and the professions involved. While long marriages often result in a 50-50 split, there is no set rule."
When Kim expressed her desire for a 20-80 split in favor of her husband, An suggested, "If your contribution to asset growth is significant, a 20-80 split is possible. It would be beneficial to seek a consultation."
Kim Young-ok began her career as an actress in 1957 and joined MBC as a voice actress in 1961. Over her 65-year career, she has appeared in over 100 dramas and films. She married former KBS announcer Kim Young-gil in 1960, and they have one son and two daughters.
