'Sad Tropics' marks Park Hoon-jung's tenth directorial work and Kim Myung-min's return to the big screen after five years since 'Battle of Jangsari' in 2019. Simstory, the agency Kim Myung-min was affiliated with, has been producing various television programs since 2002, including 'Find Delicious TV,' 'Dongchimi,' and 'The Jeon Hyun-moo Project.' The agency represents talents like Lim Ye-jin, Jung Ae-yeon, and Han So-eun, with Jung Ae-yeon having played Kim Myung-min's on-screen wife in 'Your Honor.'
