Kang Ha-neul and Go Min-si's sweet moments were shattered by harsh truths.
In the 8th episode of ENA's Genie TV original series 'Your Taste' (planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Shortcake, created by Han Jun-hee, written by Jung Soo-yoon, directed by Park Dan-hee), aired on the 3rd, Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si) discovered that Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), a recipe hunter, had approached her with ulterior motives, causing a stir in the peace of 'Jeongje'. The episode recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 3% and 2.7% in the metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea.
Han Beom-woo rushed to the restaurant in a state of anxiety, only to find that Jang Young-hye (played by Hong Hwa-yeon) had already welcomed the Diamang evaluation team with Mo Yeon-joo's recipe. Jang Young-hye reminded him that stealing recipes was something Han Beom-woo had done in the past and that his workplace was 'Moto', not 'Jeongje', weighing heavily on his conscience. Furthermore, Han Beom-woo discovered that the shop owner from whom he had stolen a recipe was the real arsonist of 'Jeongje', forcing him to confront his past mistakes.
Feeling trapped by his own actions, Han Beom-woo resolved to confess everything to Mo Yeon-joo and left for a temple stay. Unable to bear the constant bickering between Jin Myung-sook (played by Kim Shin-rok) and Shin Chun-seung (played by Yoo Soo-bin), Mo Yeon-joo declared a vacation for the 'Jeongje' family. They enjoyed a healing time at the temple where Mo Yeon-joo spent her childhood, relieving stress, but Han Beom-woo, missing the right moment to confess, remained anxious.
As Mo Yeon-joo, now fully trusting Han Beom-woo, began to share her untold past, his discomfort grew. She revealed that she was so happy at the temple that she couldn't remember her birth mother and that she loved cooking, which she learned there. She wanted to introduce this cherished place to Han Beom-woo, but he couldn't bring himself to speak.
Han Seon-woo (played by Bae Na-ra) grew increasingly angry upon learning that Moto had left a good impression on the Diamang evaluation team. Despite Han Beom-woo's claims that he wouldn't return to Moto and didn't need the heir position, it all felt like deceit to Han Seon-woo. To make matters worse, he learned that 'Moto', not his 'La Ressel', was selected as the only Diamang three-star restaurant in Korea, prompting him to head to 'Jeongje' in a fit of rage.
Returning from the temple stay, Han Beom-woo attempted to confess to Mo Yeon-joo, thanking her for changing his life. However, Han Seon-woo's sudden arrival prevented him from speaking the truth, and in his anger, Han Seon-woo exposed Han Beom-woo's intentions and the stolen recipe that earned the Diamang three-star rating.
Han Beom-woo tried to explain to the betrayed and saddened Mo Yeon-joo that he intended to tell her the truth, but she pushed him away, stating that one cannot play with someone's sincerity. Unable to be forgiven for his past mistakes, Han Beom-woo turned away, leaving Mo Yeon-joo in tears in the darkness.
Before they could fully enjoy their mutual feelings, Han Beom-woo and Mo Yeon-joo faced a cruel truth. Now, all eyes are on whether they can rebuild 'Jeongje' together amidst the shattered peace.
