Virtual Idol Group PLAVE Takes Strong Legal Action Against Invasive Fan Behavior and Online Harassment
Virtual idol group PLAVE is taking a firm stand against invasive fan behavior and malicious online attacks directed at its members.

On the 15th, their agency, Blast, announced via the official fan community platform Weverse that they have been consistently monitoring and taking strict legal action against insults, defamatory comments, personal information leaks, privacy invasions, and stalking activities targeting PLAVE members.

Blast further explained that in previous legal cases, criminal procedures have concluded, and civil liability for damages has been recognized, with enforcement proceedings currently underway. This indicates an unusually strong stance, as legal actions are extending beyond mere complaints to actual civil compensation.

The agency also mentioned that in March, they filed complaints against individuals who disseminated personal information and posted defamatory content about PLAVE members. Several suspects have been identified, and investigations are ongoing nationwide. They reiterated their firm stance, stating that they plan to apply a zero-tolerance policy, pursuing full criminal prosecution followed by civil lawsuits.

Particularly concerning is the offline invasive behavior. Blast noted, "Recently, persistent stalking activities, such as following or attempting to approach members, have been confirmed," emphasizing that "this is a clear crime that severely threatens the physical and mental safety of the members and is socially unacceptable."

In response, the agency is preparing to file criminal charges under the Stalking Punishment Act and has secured solid evidence, including CCTV and vehicle black box footage. They stated their intention to request the maximum possible penalties, including imprisonment, for repeat offenders from law enforcement.

Meanwhile, PLAVE, a five-member virtual idol group that debuted in 2023, is gaining attention both domestically and internationally with their concept that blurs the lines between reality and the virtual world.
