WINNER to Hold Concert Without Mino Amid Military Service Controversy

WINNER is set to hold a concert without member Song Mino, who is currently embroiled in a military service controversy.

On the 7th, YG Entertainment announced, "We are planning to hold a WINNER concert in July, marking their first in approximately 3 years and 3 months."

The agency added, "This concert is a significant event as it marks WINNER's comeback and their first meeting with fans in three years. We have been preparing meticulously to ensure a high-quality performance, having secured the venue well in advance."

YG Entertainment acknowledged the challenges in deciding whether to proceed with the concert, stating, "Despite the difficulties, we decided to go ahead with the concert to honor the fans who have been waiting for WINNER's performance and to reflect the members' strong desire to meet their fans."

The concert will feature performances by members Kang Seung-yoon, Kim Jin-woo, and Lee Seung-hoon. YG Entertainment requested, "We ask for your warm support and encouragement, as this was not an easy decision."

Previously, Song Mino faced allegations of inadequate service during his time as a public service worker. He was accused of leaving his post during working hours and manipulating attendance records. Mino served from March 2023 to December 23, 2024, and is currently released from duty. In March, a police official stated that Mino largely admitted to the allegations.

In response to the controversy, YG Entertainment stated, "We cannot confirm detailed information regarding the artist's service. However, we clarify that the medical leave was an extension of treatment received before service, and all other leaves were used in accordance with regulations."

Thank you for your continued support and patience.
