"It took me a long time to write this"… Former MADEIN Member Gaeun Speaks Out on Alleged Misconduct by Agency CEO

Gaeun, a former member of the group MADEIN, has opened up about allegations of sexual misconduct involving the CEO of her former agency.

On the 28th, Gaeun took to her personal social media to share a heartfelt message, stating, "It took me longer than expected to write this."

Gaeun expressed her fears, saying, "In a world filled with recordings and stories I was unaware of, it took a lot of courage to raise my voice. I am truly grateful to everyone who believed in me, waited patiently, and supported me warmly."

She continued, "Being an idol was not just a job for me; it was a dream and a part of my life since childhood. Every moment on stage, every eye contact with fans, and every drop of sweat and tear in the practice room are precious memories beyond words."

However, Gaeun revealed, "Despite these cherished memories, I repeatedly faced difficult situations, unwanted circumstances, unfair treatment, and unexpected disadvantages. Yet, I never once thought of giving up on my dream."

Gaeun also shared her shock upon learning about her departure from the team through news articles, stating, "The day I had to leave suddenly without any explanation or farewell to the fans remains a deep wound."

In conclusion, Gaeun expressed her determination to be honest about her feelings and experiences, saying, "I was very upset and felt wronged. Since this was a dream I had cherished throughout my school years, I will no longer avoid it and will speak candidly about my heart and past events. Thank you for waiting and believing in me, and I apologize for causing concern."

The CEO of 143 Entertainment, the agency behind MADEIN, is embroiled in allegations of sexual misconduct. Previously, JTBC's 'Incident Chief' reported that a member of a multinational girl group that debuted last September was allegedly assaulted by the agency's CEO. In response, 143 Entertainment denied the allegations, stating, "We clearly inform you that the recent reports of sexual misconduct are unfounded, and we have clear evidence to prove their falsehood." The agency also announced Gaeun's departure from the team.
