Koo Jun-yup Mourns Late Seo Hee-won, Supported by Her Family

Koo Jun-yup, the renowned singer, is currently finding solace with the family of the late Seo Hee-won.

On the 4th, Chinese-language media outlets, including Sohu.com, reported that Koo Jun-yup has not made any public appearances since laying Seo Hee-won to rest. According to reports, Koo has lost approximately 12kg and is experiencing a difficult time, often shedding tears.

The reports also indicate that Seo Hee-won's family invites Koo Jun-yup for weekly dinners to offer him comfort and support.

Koo Jun-yup has halted all activities to focus on creating a statue in memory of Seo Hee-won. Although the statue is not yet complete, a spot has been reserved for its installation at the Geumbosan Cemetery.

Koo Jun-yup and Seo Hee-won dated for about a year in 1998. Seo Hee-won later married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2011, with whom she had a son and a daughter, but they divorced in 2021. After the divorce, Seo reconnected with Koo, and they announced their marriage in March 2022. Tragically, Seo passed away in February, three years into their marriage, due to pneumonia-related complications from the flu. Her burial took place on the 14th of last month.

Koo Jun-yup has transferred all rights to Seo Hee-won's estate to her mother, Huang Chunmei. While he has announced legal actions to protect the children's rights and inheritance, Taiwanese law has granted custody to her ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, who plans to move the children to Hong Kong with his new wife. During this process, allegations arose that Seo Hee-won's mother secretly sold her daughter's jewelry, which Huang Chunmei and Seo Hee-won's sister have strongly denied as "lies."
