BLACKPINK member and solo artist Jennie was moved to tears during her solo concert.
On the 15th, Jennie held her first solo concert, 'The Ruby Experience,' at Inspire Arena in Incheon, celebrating the release of her debut solo album 'Ruby.'
During the event, Jennie expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you to everyone who came to my first solo concert. It's embarrassing to be up here, and it still feels like a dream. I'm in denial about reality, but seeing all of you here makes it feel real."
She added, "I learned a lot while preparing for this album concert. This album captures my true self, not the glamorous and perfect image, but a bit silly and honest. Everything feels new and like a fresh start."
Jennie then asked the audience, "Can you all scream for me?" which was met with enthusiastic cheers. Overwhelmed, Jennie said, "I promised I wouldn't cry," as she became emotional. She continued, "It was hard to accept the overwhelming love I received after releasing the album, but seeing it with my own eyes today, I'm so grateful and happy," wiping away her tears.
'The Ruby Experience' features all 15 tracks from Jennie's debut solo album 'Ruby.' The concert series began at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on the 6th and 7th, continued at Radio City Music Hall in New York on the 10th, and concluded at Inspire Arena.
