EVNNE is back, radiating positive energy.
On the 10th, EVNNE held a showcase at the Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their fourth mini album, 'HOT MESS'.
For the first time since their debut, EVNNE has ventured into the pop rock genre with their new title track. Park Ji-hoo expressed, "Every time we return, we bring a new genre. It's exciting to broaden our musical spectrum," sharing his thoughts on exploring a new genre.
The new album features a total of six tracks. Ji Yoon-seo mentioned, "There were many contenders for both the title track and the other songs. The concept and theme of this album revolve around positive energy. We had many discussions with the company and participated in the song selection process, contemplating which songs would resonate more with fans and the public."
Moon Jung-hyun explained, "The title track is about enjoying oneself amidst chaotic situations. It's a good listen when you're feeling confused or stressed." Yoo Seung-eon added, "The choreography is more free-spirited compared to our usual synchronized dance routines," emphasizing their effort to convey positive energy. He further noted, "Rather than focusing on looking pretty, we prioritized having fun and enjoying ourselves. We practiced the choreography with an energetic and bright vibe."
The title track 'HOT MESS', co-written by members Yoo Seung-eon and Park Ji-hoo, is a pop rock song featuring crunchy guitar riffs. Its catchy chorus and dynamic melody are designed to captivate listeners. With this track, EVNNE captures the essence of youth, choosing to immerse in the moment rather than seeking immediate answers during chaotic times.
The album includes the title track 'HOT MESS' along with five other songs: 'Birthday', 'Love Like That', 'CROWN', 'Youth', and '景色 (KESHIKI) (Korean Ver.)'.
EVNNE's fourth mini album 'HOT MESS' will be released at 6 PM today.
