Oh Jong-hyuk Opens Up About Financial Struggles During Click-B Era
Oh Jong-hyuk revealed his financial struggles during his time with Click-B.

On the October 21st episode of SBS's variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny' (hereafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'), Oh Jong-hyuk, who is in his fourth year of marriage, appeared as a special MC.

During the show, Oh Jong-hyuk shared, “We had a child six months after marriage, and now we have a 27-month-old daughter.” He humorously described his rank in the household as the lowest, saying, “In our house, my wife, daughter, and even our dog are all female. I also have a pet snake named Flower, so I'm ranked even below the snake.”

Oh Jong-hyuk candidly spoke about his wife, saying, “When she cleans, she just pretends to do it. I do the laundry and fold it. After I do everything, it takes her four days to put it away.” However, he praised her cooking skills, saying, “She cooks amazingly well. She makes too many side dishes. I’m not greedy about food, so having too many side dishes stresses me out.”

Oh Jong-hyuk also revealed that he suffered from facial paralysis twice in the past. He explained, “In 2014, while doing two musicals and filming a drama, I was so stressed that my face collapsed once. At that time, I didn’t know what it was. It felt like the numbness after dental anesthesia. I wanted to close my mouth, but I couldn’t,” describing his inability to control his facial nerves.

The second occurrence happened while preparing for his wedding. Oh Jong-hyuk said, “While preparing for the wedding, I was filming a variety show called 'Steel Troops.' I was also rehearsing for a new performance. After the wedding and finishing the 'Steel Troops' filming, the first performance went up, and the next day it recurred. As soon as the tension was released, it happened again. It lasted for about four months.”

Oh Jong-hyuk reminisced about his past when he lived in a sauna. He said, “There was a time when Click-B had to stop activities due to incidents. I co-ran a street food stall in the countryside, but my partner closed it. I was sharing rent with a friend, but he didn’t pay his share. Eventually, the deposit was used up because we didn’t pay the rent, and it was my deposit. I lived in a sauna for six months. From then on, I sang at weddings for people I didn’t know and called wedding halls to perform all over the place while preparing for an album.”
