Koo Hye-sun Reveals the Reason Behind Her Departure from Drama

Koo Hye-sun has opened up about her departure from a drama series.

On the October 10th episode of KBS2's variety show 'Park Won-sook's Living Together', Koo Hye-sun joined as the youngest member.

Koo Hye-sun shared that she debuted in the entertainment industry at the age of 19, stating, "I didn't initially want to be an actress. It was a time when my friends wanted to become idol singers. I entered as an idol trainee, but since I wasn't good at singing or dancing, the company president asked if I wanted to try acting. Then I met the PD of 'Nonstop' and was cast on the spot." She continued, "After that, I appeared in 'Pure in Heart' where I played a Yanbian girl. It achieved a viewership rating of 43.2%, allowing me to progress without much hardship."

Koo Hye-sun confessed the reason for her exit after six episodes from 'You Are Too Much'. She revealed, "I developed food allergies. I couldn't eat beef, pork, eggs, milk, or shellfish. At that time, the only thing I could eat was rice." She explained, "It's called anaphylaxis, a condition where eating peanuts or getting stung by a bee can become dangerous within 10 minutes. It's not a disease but a shock. I collapsed in the bathroom due to the shock."

She continued, "It was a public restroom, and a cleaning lady found me. She forcibly opened the door and saved me. After experiencing such a major incident, I always became cautious about eating."

Koo Hye-sun added, "I was told not to eat marinated crabs, but I really wanted to. Interestingly, my allergic reaction to crabs completely disappeared. Even now, it's not severe."
