Actor Han Suk-kyu shared his thoughts on the challenging filming experience, emphasizing his dedication to the project.
On the 10th, a press conference for the new Friday-Saturday drama 'Intimate Betrayal' (hereafter referred to as 'Intimate Betrayal') was held at the MBC Golden Mouse Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Han Suk-kyu, Chae Won-bin, Han Ye-ri, Noh Jae-won, Yoon Kyung-ho, Oh Yeon-soo, along with director Song Yeon-hwa and MC Park Kyung-lim.
'Intimate Betrayal' is a father-daughter thriller that follows the story of the nation's top profiler who, while investigating a murder case, uncovers his daughter's secret and pursues the truth hidden in the depths of despair. The drama has garnered attention even before its release, featuring Han Suk-kyu's return to his home network MBC after nearly 30 years, alongside rising star Chae Won-bin as father and daughter.
Han Suk-kyu plays Jang Tae-soo, a top profiler who can read the minds of criminals but struggles to understand his own daughter. He revealed, "I carried something with me throughout the filming," and pulled out a paper from his pocket, saying, "It's the MBC exclusive contract I signed in 1991."
He continued, "I found this in my mother's notebook. It holds significant meaning for me. It's been exactly 29 years. I pondered deeply, 'Why did my mother keep this contract?' 'Intimate Betrayal' is special to me because of this."
Han Suk-kyu humorously added, "I almost died because of Director Song. Whenever things got really tough, I would take out this paper to find my original intention."
The first and second episodes of 'Intimate Betrayal' will be extended to 90 minutes and will air on the 11th (Friday) and 12th (Saturday) at 9:40 PM.
