The movie 'Veteran 2' has surpassed 7 million viewers.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'Veteran 2' attracted 74,173 viewers on the 6th, bringing its cumulative audience to 7,000,133. After briefly losing the top spot to 'Joker: Folie à Deux' on October 1st, 'Veteran 2' quickly reclaimed its position and has maintained its number one spot at the box office.
To celebrate surpassing 7 million viewers, the cast released a '700만 꾸꾸꾸' video and photos, expressing their gratitude. Hwang Jung-min said, "7 million, thank you so much! Seo Do-cheol, Veteran!" showing his affection for his character and the film. Jung Hae-in conveyed his sincerity with a neatly written message, "To the 7 million audience members, I love you." Jang Yoon-ju humorously stated, "'Veteran 2' 7 million, thank you very much!" while Jung Man-sik expressed, "Deeply moved, 7 million," Oh Dae-hwan said, "Seven, 100, ten thousand, thank you!" and Shin Seung-hwan added, "Breaking news, 7 million surpassed! Real news!" each showcasing their character's unique personality.
Released on September 13, 'Veteran 2' is an action crime investigation drama where veteran detective Seo Do-cheol (played by Hwang Jung-min) teams up with rookie detective Park Sun-woo (played by Jung Hae-in) to chase a notorious serial killer.
In second place, climbing one spot from the previous day, is 'Laws of Love in a Big City' starring Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun. The film has been praised for the charming and sincere performances of Kim and Noh. It recorded a daily audience of 45,136 and a cumulative audience of 264,200.
'Laws of Love in a Big City' depicts the unique love story of Jae-hee (played by Kim Go-eun), a free spirit who knows no boundaries, and Heung-soo (played by Noh Sang-hyun), who is accustomed to distancing himself from the world.
In third place is the animation 'Wild Robot,' which added 43,230 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 247,536.
'Wild Robot' is an adventure story about a robot named Rose who crash-lands in a vast wilderness and becomes the guardian of an abandoned baby goose named Brightbill, forming an extraordinary bond.
Fourth place goes to 'Joker: Folie à Deux,' and fifth place to 'Bread Barber Shop: Transformer ONE.'
As of 8:30 AM on the 30th, the real-time reservation rate shows 'Veteran 2' leading with 19.2%. The second place in reservation rate is 'Laws of Love in a Big City' (15.9%), followed by 'You Will Die in 6 Hours' (13.2%).
