MBC's 'Chef of Antarctica' is a program that captures the process of serving a warm meal to the overwintering crew members who live isolated in the harsh Antarctic environment out of a sense of duty. The show will feature Baek Jong-won, Im Soo-hyang, EXO's Suho, and Chae Jong-hyeop as they live and work as part of the overwintering team at the forefront of climate crisis research in Antarctica.
MBC is revisiting Antarctica 13 years after its 'Tears of the Antarctic' series, aiming to deliver messages about climate change and the Antarctic ecosystem, raising anticipation.
The production team stated, "This project started from Chef Baek Jong-won's genuine desire to cook meaningful meals in Antarctica. Im Soo-hyang, EXO's Suho, and Chae Jong-hyeop are also preparing thoroughly to fulfill their roles as crew members in Antarctica, so please look forward to it."
'Chef of Antarctica' is scheduled to air in the first half of 2025.
