Lee Do-hyun, a popular actor with both acting ability and star quality, is about to make his screen debut as the new shaman Bong-gil in 'Exhuma'.
Actor Lee Do-hyun, who has shown a strong presence with excellent character digestion in various works, will show off his unconventional appearance as Bong-gil, a shaman who recites sutras in 'Exhuma'. 'Buried Grave' is an occult mystery film that tells the story of strange events that happen to geomancers, undertakers, and shamans who relocate suspicious tombs in exchange for a large amount of money.
Starting with the drama 'Prison Playlist', Lee Do-hyun was recognized for his unrivaled acting skills and established himself as a popular actor through 'The Glory', 'Bad Mother', 'Youth of May', and 'Sweet Home'. In particular, he made his debut by playing the character of a high school baseball player in ‘Prison Wise’.
Lee Do-hyun plays Bong-gil, a baseball player who has to quit after contracting a disease while playing baseball in his first screen debut, 'Pastoral'. Bong-gil, a shaman who recites sutras, is a new shaman who travels with Hwa-rim (Kim Go-eun), a shaman who saved him from illness. Lee Do-hyun plans to show a new transformation that has never been seen before, with the visual of tattoos all over his body and the appearance of him reciting sutras.
Director Jang Jae-hyun said of Lee Do-hyun, "I think the synchronization rate with Bong-gil is about 180%. His modern appearance and charisma match well with Bong-gil, so we were able to achieve good synergy. Also, actor Lee Do-hyun was able to handle very difficult scenes with pure acting. He raised expectations by praising, “He has an incredible ability to complete things with technology.” Lee Do-hyun, who is prepared to enthuse the audience like this, is expected to captivate fans by showing off his strong and bold charm without hesitation in 'Breakfast'.
