A mystery fairy tale planned by Director Pyo Chang-won, Korea's leading profiler and criminal psychologist, is coming out.
‘My Neighbor Profiler Haida’s Case File’ is a series. Volume 1, 'Stigmatized Child', is the story of Haida, a girl with no existence, who musters up the courage to deduce the real culprit for her friend who was falsely accused of being the culprit of a cell phone theft incident.
My neighbor's profiler 'Haida' is like 'Sherlock Holmes' in the UK and 'Detective Conan' in Japan, so why don't we have such a strong detective character? This is a character born from a question. Director Pyo Chang-won, the planner, said, “We planned this book in the hope that Korean children would be able to develop their dreams and realize the importance of justice through ‘Korean mystery novels, Korean detective characters, and Korean profiler stories.’” In addition, by planning Haida as a profiler rather than a detective, he expressed his expectations, saying that he hoped that the audience would experience the fun of new reasoning that brings out someone's true feelings.
The series takes as its motif the events that occur around us. The explanation is that the story was structured in a fun and not scary way.
This book allows children to learn the difficult and professional technique of 'profiling' in an easy and fun way. Profilers carry out investigations that demonstrate 'objective and logical reasoning' based on more evidence than detectives, whose investigations involve a high proportion of coincidence elements. These characteristics are vividly depicted as the child investigators of the '221 Secret Investigation Unit', the main characters of the series, grow up. This is why it is a welcome book, especially for young readers who dream of becoming future profilers.
Meanwhile, Director Pyo, who appears as the children's reasoning mentor in the work, comes one step closer to readers with his unexpected charm like a warm uncle, unlike his usual strict and solemn image. The series will vividly show the child profiler Ida growing into a real profiler with the 221 Secret Investigation Unit.
After the fairy tale is over, you can obtain reasoning terms, common sense, and background knowledge through 'Director Pyo's Reasoning Manual' written by Director Pyo Chang-won, and also practice reasoning through quizzes. It is expected that young readers will naturally be able to acquire rich imagination, strong logic, and reasoning skills through the book. In addition, <Profiler Haida's Case File ① Stigmatized Child> includes a special free gift called 'Mafia Game Card' that allows friends to further refine their reasoning skills.
Meanwhile, planner Pyo Chang-won is Korea's representative profiler with various titles, including former police academy professor, criminologist, and criminal psychologist. He operates the Pyo Changwon Institute for Crime Science (PICS).
