Actress So Yoo-jin revealed why she is serious about the play ‘The Seagull’.
So Yoo-jin usually communicates with many people through SNS. In particular, many events are held through SNS. Why did he become the queen of events?
Soo-jin Soo said, "We worked hard to make it, so wouldn't it be nice if many people would come? The Universal Arts Center has over 1,000 seats, and it is a theater where more people can come. That's why we promote it more. When we enter the theater, many people fill the audience seats. “Thank you for filling me in. I’m even more grateful because you took on the difficult steps. Even if it’s just through an event, I enjoy the performance and when I go back, I’m moved and grateful,” he said.
So Yoo-jin said, "I say the same lines, but it's always different. Even if I wear the same clothes and say the same lines, some days the performance changes depending on my biorhythm. But the audience is seeing it for the first time. It's always new because I can't fall into my mannerisms. I do the same thing." Even so, the audience's reaction is different every day. When I act, the audience's reaction is new and amazing. In fact, isn't this experience only possible when there is an audience? The audience's reaction can be felt directly on stage. That's why the charm of the stage never ends. “I don’t think there is one,” he said with a laugh.
The teamwork of the 'Seagull' team can also be seen through So Yoo-jin's SNS. This is because she has the strong maternal support of her husband, Baek Jong-won. So Yoo-jin said, "My husband made five boxes of seaweed. Isn't it nice to have seaweed when eating? They also make seasoning sauce and cup noodles."
She continued, "My husband respects teacher Lee Sun-jae. Teacher Lee Sun-jae says he likes bread, so he sends me a lot. My husband always says, 'You're really amazing,' and he even asks about the teacher's health. On 'Alley Restaurant' He added, “I keep sending out the red bean porridge that I launched because the teacher said he likes it. I do it because I feel like it. He also gave me a lot of support during ‘King Lear.’”
So Yoo-jin said, "My husband saw 'The Seagull' and said he liked it. It was the same with 'King Lear'. Some of the lines from 'King Lear' are still memorized. He said 'The Seagull' also had good lines and said he understood why the classics are good." .
So Yoo-jin says she looks for reviews left by audiences through social media and ticket agencies. He said, "I saw in the review that 'Actress So Yoo-jin was the funniest'. So I took a screenshot of it. When I saw this, I thought that although it was not a comedy, it had a wit that only Arkaana could do. Finding that kind of fun was also a fun task. In fact, ' “There is no ad-lib in ‘Seagull.’ We study with each other and try to make it more interesting and even a little funnier,” he said.
Also, "We researched it among ourselves and asked teacher Lee Sun-jae's permission. For example, one of my lines is, 'Even a 15-year-old girl can do it.' This is a line that also appears in the movie. I tried this line in a different tone, and the teacher said, “He said, ‘Try to bring this to life.’ The teacher likes to change it from time to time without changing the frame. The audience also enjoys seeing what was created that way.”
