In the final episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Golden Marriage, Joseon Marriage Ban' (hereinafter referred to as 'Golden Marriage'), which aired on the 21st, the seven-year-old prohibited marriage was revoked, each character was depicted searching for their love, and the nationwide household viewership rating was 4.7. % was recorded. On the day of the wedding ceremony, the scene where Sorang (played by Park Joo-hyun) exchanges a warm conversation with Hoe (played by Deok-moon Choi) and Hae-yeong (played by Jeong Jeong-min) who came to visit her instantly rose to a peak viewership rating of 5.9%.
When Ye Hyun-seon's name was called in the 11th episode, So-rang and Ye Hyun-hee (played by Song Ji-woo) went up to the podium at the same time, arousing curiosity. On this day's broadcast, father Ye Hyun-ho (Eom Hyo-seop) proved that Ye Hyun-seon was Sorang, and Sorang became the new owner of Junggungjeon.
As the selection was decided, Lee Heon (played by Kim Young-dae) declared, “This country’s ban on marriage is now over!” and the atmosphere in front of Pyeonjeon heated up with a festive atmosphere. Hae-young, who was there, approached Do-seok (played by Hong Si-young) and expressed her feelings, and thus Do-seok's painful unrequited love ended.
Lee Heon and Lee Shin-won used Na Sang-ju (Jeon Jin-oh) as bait to kill Jo Sung-gyun (Yang Dong-geun), eliminating the culprit of the Golden Soul. Sorang and the Great Queen (played by Cha Mi-kyung) resolved the misunderstandings between them and had a dramatic reconciliation.
Mrs. Seo (played by Park Seon-young), who committed all kinds of evil acts with Jo Seong-gyun, was sentenced to death by hanging. Her daughter, Ye Hyeon-hee, was made a government slave and spent her entire life working at the military headquarters, and the anti-forces around King Lee Heon disappeared one by one.
Sorang completed the national marriage safely and fulfilled his responsibilities as a royal officer. She proposed a maternity leave policy and comforted Ahn Ji-hyeong (Han Sang-jin), the father of Ahn (Kim Min-ju), and promised to treat him like a father.
Joseon, which had been desolate due to the seven-year ban on marriage, was overflowing with a pink atmosphere. Under Lee Heon's guidance, Hwayun (played by Jo Soo-min) began a thrilling relationship with Lee Shin-won (played by Kim Woo-seok). Se-jang (played by Lee Hyeon-geol), who had been suffering from not being able to express his feelings for a while, started a family with a wonnyeo (played by Hwang Jeong-min). Hoe and Kim Seol-rok (played by Kim Min-sang) also looked for love, exchanging strange looks as if they had met fate.
The streets outside the palace were lined with various wedding supplies, gifts, wedding altars, etc., and couples were walking around and looking happy. However, only two people, Deok-hoon (played by Lee Jeong-hyun) and Wang-bae (played by Kim Min-seok), had no connection with anyone, causing laughter.
When those receiving counseling at Aedaldang hesitated about love, the hoe said, “So, what are you going to do when the ban on marriage is imposed?!” It ended beautifully, with not only Sorang and Lee Heon, but also everyone who was in love posing, and Do-seok repaying the favor with a pretty picture.
