James Cameron, director of the movie 'Avatar: Waterways', announced that the narrator of 'Avatar 3' (working title) will be Roarke (played by Britton Dalton) rather than Jake Sully (played by Sam Worthington), indicating a change in generation.

According to the American media Variety, James Cameron spoke about the remaining sequels to 'Avatar', Season 3, Season 4, and Season 5, in a recent interview. Cameron said, “In the case of ‘Avatar 3,’ Jake’s son, Roark, will serve as the narrator. Jake was the narrator in seasons 1 and 2, but the story will be told through Roark’s eyes in season 3.”

“There will be a lot of Roark’s story in Season 3,” he said. “After Neteyam, the eldest son, died in Season 2, Roark, the second son, becomes the eldest son.” He added, “He forms a relationship with Tsuirea of the Metkaina tribe. “This was already hinted at in Season 2,” he added.

In addition, director James Cameron added that the so-called 'villain' Na'vi, who are not kind, will appear in 'Avatar 3', which will be released later, and will be in conflict with the Roark family.

Previously, Director Cameron said, "'Avatar 3' will feature a race of ash represented by fire and volcanoes," adding, "It will show that not all Na'vi are quiet and peaceful." He continued, "If we showed the good side of the Na'vi people in parts 1 and 2, it will be the opposite this time. I want to show a different side of the Na'vi people." Director Cameron also added that there are a total of 12 races in the ‘Avatar’ universe.

It is reported that filming for 'Avatar 3' is almost complete and post-production work is in full swing. The goal is to release 'Avatar 3' in December 2024.
