Jung Yong-hwa and Cha Tae-hyun are on the verge of breaking up their collaboration.
In the 7th episode of KBS2's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Brain Collaboration', which aired on the 30th, the case of a husband Heo Beom-soo (played by Lee Seung-jun) who fell in love after mistaking his wife for a virtual human Cherry, and the cooperation between Shin Haru (played by Jung Yong-hwa) and Geum Myeong-se (played by Cha Tae-hyun) were discussed. It was depicted that it was on the verge of collapse.
On this day's broadcast, Geum Myung-se was misunderstood when a suspicious past video of her attempting prostitution was revealed at the chief's commendation ceremony. However, with the appearance of Han Seong-mi (Choi Daum), the main character in the video, they barely escaped the difficulty. Contrary to Shin Haru's expectations, Geum Myeong-se offered a sincere apology as the male representative to Han Seong-mi, a high school girl with whom he continued to meet on conditional terms, pointing out, "It's not your fault, it's the men and old men who sell you to make entertainment money that are the problem." Shin Haru, who wanted to strike a blow to Geum Myeong-se, was disappointed to learn that his plan had once again failed.
At the commendation commemoration dinner, Geum Myeong-se, who was drunk, called Shin Haru to the playground and provoked Shin Haru by saying, "I think I have a lot of things piled up on me. Let's end it like a man." Shin Haru responded and a fierce fight between the two began. Geum Myeong-se, who was engaged in a hand-to-hand combat, suddenly stopped the fight by saying, "Just wait for you," and left Shin Haru to help the grandmother who was carrying waste paper in a cart, leaving Shin Haru embarrassed. Shin Haru, who was looking at the scene, recalled Geum Myeong-se's good deeds and asked, "How on earth did that human brain come into being?"
The next day, Geum Myeong-se heard from Heo Beom-su, who visited the police station, that his wife had gone missing after a virtual human harmed her, and he contacted Shin Haru. Shin Haru told him to go investigate alone. Geum Myeong-se, who visited Heo Beom-soo's house alone, witnessed Heo Beom-soo assaulting his wife Kim Jae-sook (played by Jeon Ik-ryeong) and arrested Heo Beom-soo for domestic violence. As the neuroscience team's meeting about the case proceeded, Shin Haru appeared and said that it seemed true that Heo Beom-soo was sick, and asked to summon Heo Beom-soo to confirm.
Shin Haru and Geum Myeong-se interrogated Heo Beom-soo and discovered that Heo Beom-soo has Capgras syndrome (a neurological condition where family members or people around him believe he has been replaced with a fake face), and Seol So-jeong (played by Kwak Seon-yeong) tells Kim Jae-sook After receiving a statement, it was discovered that there were problems in the couple's relationship.
Neuroscience team members used a lie detector to confirm Heo Beom-su's symptoms by confirming that he did not feel any emotions even in photos of his family. In the end, Heo Beom-soo was taken to the hospital and underwent a brain examination, and it was discovered that Capgras syndrome had occurred due to a brain aneurysm caused by hitting his head while riding a bicycle.
At the same time, Shin Haru, who was at the hospital, suggested to Geum Myeong-se a brain test that he had been curious about. Geum Myeong-se grumbled but accepted this. After the brain examination, Geum Myung-se visited Kim Jae-sook with Shin Haru and got Heo Beom-soo's signature on the non-punishment form. Shin Haru comforted Kim Jae-suk, who was distraught, saying that Capgras syndrome itself does not happen to people who are not interested in it or to others, and that the husband has strong feelings for his wife.
Shin Haru also suggested pretending to be a virtual human to test her husband's feelings. Kim Jae-sook asked Heo Beom-soo about his true feelings right before he underwent brain surgery, and realized that it was he, not a virtual human, that Heo Beom-soo loved.
As Heo Beom-su's surgery was successful and the incident was put to an end, Shin Haru and Shin Ji-hyung (Kim Soo-jin) recognized that Geum Myeong-se's brain was an 'altruistic brain' and realized that it would not be easy to get revenge on Geum Myeong-se. In the end, Shin Haru surprised the neuroscience team members by declaring, "As of today, I will quit my role as an advisor to the neuroscience team." Meanwhile, Shin Haru, who wanted to stop his advisory role, and Geum Myeong-se, who was trying to dissuade him, witnessed Heo Beom-su covered in blood and said, "Detective! I killed a person," raising the tension to the highest level.
