Kim Seung-hyun's family gathered together to celebrate his father Kim Eon-jung's birthday and had a warm time.
Recently, a video titled ‘My daughter-in-law was disappointed by my in-laws’ was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Kim Seung-hyun Family’.
Kim Seung-hyeon and Jang Jeong-yoon visited their home to celebrate the Lunar New Year and the birthday of their father, Kim Eon-jung. Jang Jeong-yoon handed the jumper she bought as a gift to her mother-in-law, Baek Ok-ja. My mother-in-law tried on clothes, saying, “You’ll need a lot of clothes if you start filming YouTube in the future.” Seunghyeon Kim said, “It would be better if you look at the price tag.” The price of the jumper is 166,000 won. Contrary to Kim Seung-hyun's expectations, Mrs. Baek Ok-ja was shocked.
Jang Jeong-yoon said, “Mom, I brought you something else,” and handed her a hairpin as a gift. The mother-in-law was satisfied, saying, “People will look at my daughter-in-law well and say that she does a lot of pretty things and wears a lot of pretty clothes.” Kim Seung-hyun and his father-in-law were annoyed. Jang Jeong-yoon nagged, “Please react.” Kim Seung-hyun complained, “When I was asked on the broadcast, ‘Are you okay with your married life?’, I said, ‘Well, it’s okay.’” Jang Jeong-yoon said calmly, “I said it was pretty good.” When Kim Seung-hyeon said, "I should say, 'I'm so happy, I'm living well,'" Jang Jeong-yoon said, "That's a lie. People are happy and fight in their lives. That's how people live. I'm happy. This is a pretense." In response, the father-in-law gave advice, saying, "Jung Yoon-ah, broadcasting should be done in a slightly exaggerated way. You can't just do it straight away. It should have a little something like that added to it. You shouldn't be too principled." Seung-Hyun Kim added, “It’s too honest, so it’s embarrassing.”
My mother-in-law said, “You just looked like this on the TV screen,” and was worried, “Didn’t you have long hair at home?” When Jang Jeong-yoon asked, “Is long hair better?” her mother-in-law said, “Everyone says that. Even my aunt and father say that long hair is much better.” Jang Jeong-yoon said, “This person (Kim Seung-hyun) likes short hair.” The mother-in-law said, “Soobin said the same thing. Long hair is pretty, so why did you cut it short?” and “Don’t you look pretty with your hair long?” Jang Jeong-yoon said, “I heard this person likes short hair.” My mother-in-law also said, “You should do what you like.” Jang Jeong-yoon expressed his anger, saying, "They told me to cut it even further. Just like Jang Do-yeon's cut." The mother-in-law blamed her son, saying, "I am the correct eye. Do what I tell you. Don't listen to him. Don't you know that he has suffered so much and lives like this because he has no eyes to see?" Jang Jeong-yoon said, “You married me because I have eyes to see.” In response, the mother-in-law said, "That's true," but lamented her situation, saying, "There's nothing I can do by listening to that. You and my father are the same."
Mrs. Baek Ok-ja put the holiday food sent by her in-laws into a bowl. Baek Ok-ja was amazed, saying, “You sent it to me with all your sincerity, but what can I do when I just get it all the time?”
Kim Seung-hyun's family sat around the table and ate. When Baek Ok-ja told an anecdote from Kim Seung-hyun's childhood, Jang Jeong-yoon agreed, saying, "He is a bit persistent." Jang Jeong-yoon said, “It’s mud and mud and rolling around.”
Kim Seung-hyun's family talked about another relative. Baek Ok-ja was dissatisfied, saying, “I heard that the doctor’s daughter-in-law boasted about her son again?” Seunghyun Kim said, “Because I have two sons.” In response, Kim Eon-joong said, “She studies so well. She is a gifted child.” However, Baek Ok-ja said, “You will find out later,” and “Seung-hyun was not good at studying in elementary school. He always got 20 points or 100 points like that.” In response, Jang Jeong-yoon asked Seung-hyeon Kim in wonder, “Didn’t you say I was good to you?” Baek Ok-ja said, “(Kim Seung-hyun) later became class president and did everything. He doesn’t know about people’s work.”
Kim Seung-hyun revealed the reason why he studied diligently at school, saying, “I liked my homeroom teacher at the time.” In response, Jang Jeong-yoon expressed a hint of disappointment, saying, "Did you open your eyes to the opposite sex from then on? Isn't it too fast?" However, Kim Seung-hyun didn't notice and continued, "I started doing better because I liked it." Accordingly, Kim Seung-hyun's father changed the topic by talking about his in-laws. Jang Jeong-yoon made his father-in-law laugh by saying, "My mother said my father was handsome. If you think about it, she said he had a handsome face."
Kim Seung-hyun and his wife prepared a cake, gift, and letter for their father on his birthday. Seunghyun Kim's family finished the meal in a warm atmosphere.
