Actors Sol Kyung-gu and Song Yoon-ah donated 50 million won to children affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
According to the Korean Committee for UNICEF on the 13th, Sol Kyung-gu and Song Yun-ah participated in emergency relief efforts for children affected by the earthquake in Turkye, Syria and donated 50 million won.
Couple Sol Kyeong-gu and Song Yoon-ah said, "We were devastated to hear that more than 200,000 people were still trapped under the rubble. We decided to donate in hopes that the children suffering from this earthquake would not lose hope. Children in Turkye and Syria “I hope that the day when we can find hope again comes as soon as possible,” he said.
Lee Ki-cheol, Secretary General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, said, "Sponsors Song Yuna and Kyeong-gu Sol have been with the Korean Committee for UNICEF with warm hearts whenever there are difficulties at home and abroad. We are deeply grateful to the two for their consistent sharing for children, and the fund will be donated to Turkicye. “It will be preciously used to rebuild the future of Syrian children.”
Sol Kyung-gu and Song Yoon-ah donated 100 million won to the Korean Committee for UNICEF during the Sewol Ferry disaster in 2014 and became members of the Honors Club, a group of large donors to UNICEF.
