Kyuhyun "I want revenge on the drunk driver"
'Han Moon-cheol's Black Box Review' shed light on the victims who still suffer from the light level of drunk driving punishment despite the Yoon Chang-ho Act being applied.

JTBC's public transportation variety show 'Han Moon-cheol's Black Box Review (planned and directed by Min Cheol-ki)', which aired yesterday (16th), introduced the current status of the 'Yoon Chang-ho Act' and cases of damage that could not be avoided in the dark at night due to negligent road management, each of which was absurd. and captured attention with sad stories.

On this day, lawyer Han Moon-cheol noted that the so-called 'Yoon Chang-ho Act', which imposes aggravated punishment for drunk driving, is not actually effective. They showed black box videos of deaths caused by drunk driving and raised questions about whether the punishment was too weak compared to the damage caused.

Among them, the story of a couple in their 50s was beyond sad to absurd. A couple's happy time was taken away by the driver who was drunk driving and crashed into the car in front at an absurd speed of 189 km/h. The husband, the driver, was diagnosed with paralysis from the waist down and was unable to walk for the rest of his life, and his wife, who was a passenger, eventually passed away.

However, the only punishment given to the driver of the offending vehicle was 7 years in prison, but even that was reduced to 6 years and 6 months. The son of the victim couple could not help but feel deplored at the weak level of punishment for perpetrators even though there is a special law called the 'Yoon Chang-ho Act'.

This made lawyer Moon-cheol Han and the panelists who were watching in the studio indignant. Park Mi-sun expressed her upset, saying, “I think I want to immigrate,” and Kyuhyun felt strong anger, saying, “I think I want to take revenge.”

Meanwhile, in 'Han Moon-cheol's Black Box Review' that day, videos of people who suffered absurd accidents due to the negligence of local governments and construction companies in safety management were also released. In particular, all panel members were shocked by the video of a female driver who fell headlong into a 4-meter pit with her child due to failure to properly install safety facilities on a road under construction.

Above all, even when the construction company was held responsible for negligent management, only frustrating answers were received that avoided responsibility, making the victims angry. In response, lawyer Han Moon-cheol drew sympathy by saying, “Local governments must manage roads well.”

In addition, he once again emphasized the importance of recognizing the correct traffic culture by reporting on the behavior of retaliatory drivers who do not hesitate to use merciless verbal abuse and violence.

JTBC's 'Han Moon-cheol's Black Box Review', which constantly strives to make Korea free of traffic accidents, is broadcast every Thursday at 8:50 pm.

Meanwhile, the viewership rating of ‘Han Moon-cheol’s Black Box Review’ on this day was 3.4% (based on Nielsen Korea’s nationwide paid households).
