Recently, broadcaster Lee Gyeong-sil caused controversy by making remarks bordering on sexual harassment towards Lee Je-hoon during a live radio broadcast. On the 17th, Lee Je-hoon and Pyo Ye-jin appeared as guests on 'Cultwo Show' to promote the drama 'Model Taxi 2'. In 'Model Taxi 2', there is a scene where Lee Je-hoon trains his body in prison without his shirt. In the still cut released before the broadcast, Lee Je-hoon's sculpted, muscular body became a hot topic.
On this day's 'Cultwo Show', the scene in question was discussed. Lee Gyeong-sil said, "Do you see the valley between the chest and the chest? ‘Animal Farm’ also found itself in an awkward situation. This is because Director Lee Chan-jong, a dog trainer who gained fame after appearing on 'Animal Farm', was accused of sexual harassment and forced harassment.
According to the police, Director Lee is accused of repeatedly sexually harassing and forcibly molesting Ms. A, a female assistant trainer, for eight months from July 2021 to February of last year. On the 21st, Chief Lee said through his legal representative, Woori Law Firm, "Apart from actively responding to malicious false accusations, I sincerely apologize for causing concern to many people, and I will spend time reflecting on myself even more." Space Cat Kim Chun-sam, a YouTuber who had received coaching from Joo Eon-gyu, copied the content of science YouTuber Review Owl using Noah AI operated by Joo Eon-gyu. Accordingly, 'All the Butlers', in which Mr. Joo recently appeared, is also receiving attention.
Joo Eon-gyu said on the YouTube channel 'Joo PD' run on the 15th, "When I was a beginner, Space Cat Kim Chun-sam took a lecture from me and started YouTube." He continued, "After hearing that he was increasing the number of views on YouTube faster than me, he asked me to tell him about know-how that I did not know on my channel, and the interview video in question was uploaded." He continued, "This problem is not just the performer's problem, but it is also my fault. “I also want to take some time for self-reflection. I am sorry.” Space Cat Kim Chun-sam appeared directly on Joo Eon-gyu's YouTube channel and boasted of his 'copying skills', claiming to be a content creation know-how.
Review Owl, whose content was stolen, posted a comparison video saying, “Space Cat Kim Chun-sam is intentionally copying my video.” Similar images, similar compositions, and even similar titles were enough to make one believe that Space Cat's Kim Chun-sam copied Review Owl's content.
On the 21st, Joo Eon-gyu once again posted on his YouTube channel and pointed out, "I strongly recommend that YouTubers with less than 1,000 followers and those just starting out should also create their own thumbnails and titles creatively." He also said, “I am sorry for spreading wrong perceptions due to my careless awareness of copyright.”
'All The Butlers 2' deleted all replays of the 7th episode in which Joo Eon-gyu appeared. The broadcast highlighted the success story of Joo Eon-gyu, who went from earning 1.69 million won per month to becoming 10 billion won rich. Immediately after the broadcast that showed off its financial power, a 'controversy over inciting content theft' erupted, and 'All The Butlers', recognizing the seriousness of the problem, quietly took the step of 'deleting the video'.
Despite controversies over the various casts of various programs, SBS is just watching and not paying attention. Saying ‘I don’t know’ and waiting for the controversy to die down. SBS cannot control everything about the cast. However, when a performer causes controversy, he or she must show an attitude of taking responsibility. Simply deleting the appearances of controversial performers does not fulfill responsibility.
