Actor and director Cho Hyun-cheol (36) said that he believed Park Hye-soo's tearful confession that she was innocent regarding allegations of school violence.
On the morning of the 12th, Cho Hyun-cheol was interviewed by Ten Asia about the movie 'You and I' (director Cho Hyun-cheol) at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
On this day, Jo Hyun-cheol said about continuing to work with Park Hye-soo despite allegations of school violence, "There is a certain logic. Commercial logic is important in movies, but the reason I wanted to start this movie and the staff gathered for this movie also had different logic. “I think so,” he said, “we loved each other.”
"We knew that Park Hye-soo was a good person. We already had an internal meeting. We thought that we couldn't judge what kind of person Park Hye-soo was just by looking at articles. Things posted on the Internet would be so spindly and distorted. I knew very well that it could happen. My colleagues and many other people died because of those things. I didn't want to see that happen. Even if the industry treats this movie as a scrap product, what this person did, and what he did with tears in his eyes. “I believed his claim that he was innocent. So I decided to join him and there was no fear after that.”
Meanwhile, 'You and I' is the story of high school students Se-mi (Park Hye-soo) and Ha-eun (Kim Si-eun) who spend a dreamy day with something they want to say to each other in their hearts. This is the first feature-length film written and directed by Jo Hyeon-cheol.
‘You and I’ will be released on the 25th.
