Kim Tae-hee, National Tax Service fines hundreds of millions of won


It was specifically revealed that actress Kim Tae-hee had undergone a high-intensity tax investigation by the National Tax Service.

According to a report by Ajou Economic Daily on the 1st, Kim Tae-hee is said to have conducted an irregular (special) tax investigation targeting actress Kim Tae-hee and Lua Entertainment in 2021.

It was not a 'regular tax audit' conducted every 4-5 years. The National Tax Service conducted a 'special tax investigation'. The National Tax Service conducts a 'special tax investigation' only on companies that are found to be suspected of tax evasion.

Lua Entertainment is a management company founded and operated by Kim Tae-hee's older sister. Kim Tae-hee worked as an actress under the company from its establishment in July 2009 until 2019.

Currently, Lua Entertainment has changed its name to Lua Asset Co., Ltd. and is focusing on event planning and directing. The address of Lua Asset is an ultra-expensive apartment in Yongsan-gu, and the property in question was revealed to be owned by Kim Tae-hee.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government initially conducted a tax investigation against Kim Tae-hee, but later expanded the scope of the investigation after discovering charges of tax evasion and evasion by Lua Entertainment. The fine is said to amount to hundreds of millions of won.
