‘Confidential’ lost first place to Japanese animation ‘Demon Slayer’

The movie 'Confidential' lost first place at the box office in just one day.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network on the 3rd, the Japanese animation film 'Demon Slayer: The Gathering of Sanghyeon, and To the Potter Village' (hereinafter referred to as 'Demon Slayer') beat the Korean film 'Confidential' ( director Won-tae Lee) at the box office on the 2nd. Actor Cho Jin-woong and Lee Seong-min's movie 'Confidential' was chosen by the same 47,051 viewers, losing first place to 'Demon Slayer' in just one day.

'Confidential' is set in Busan in 1992, and a fierce struggle between Hae-woong (played by Jin-woong Cho), a candidate for the National Assembly, the real Sun-tae (played by Seong-min Lee), a hidden figure in politics, and Pil-do (played by Moo-yeol Kim), an activist gangster, to turn the tables with secret documents that will shake up the Republic of Korea. A crime drama that unfolds.

Third place went to 'I'm Hero the Final,' a movie made of singer Lim Young-woong's live concert, which was viewed by 16,873 people.

In fourth place and third place was 'The First Slam Dunk' (directed by Takehiko Inoue), which was watched by 14,191 people, recording a cumulative audience of 3,728,727. There are predictions that it will be possible for the Japanese animation to break through to the top of the box office rankings this weekend. 5th place is 'Search 2'.
