The movie ‘Confidential’ (directed by Lee Won-tae) ranked first in the box office on the first weekend of its release.
According to distributor PlusM Entertainment on the 6th, 'Confidential' attracted 257,042 viewers on the weekend from March 3rd to 5th. The cumulative number of viewers was 496,712, ranking first at the box office.
This is a valuable achievement in stopping the box office offensive of foreign films such as 'Demon Slayer: Gathering Sanghyun, and To the Potter Village', 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania', and 'The First Slam Dunk', and also welcomes the lifting of the mandatory wearing of masks indoors. It has deep significance as a representative Korean film that has brought vitality to the theater district.
Meanwhile, 'Confidential' is set in Busan in 1992, with Hae-woong (played by Cho Jin-woong), a candidate for the National Assembly, a hidden powerhouse in politics, Sun-tae (played by Lee Seong-min), and activist gangster Pil-do (played by Kim Moo-yeol) in a fierce battle to turn the tables with secret documents that will shake up the Republic of Korea. This competitive crime drama is currently receiving rave reviews.
