Actress Kim Hye-ja, a goodwill ambassador for World Vision, donated 100 million won for earthquake damage recovery in Turkye, Syria.
On the 9th, World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, announced, “World Vision Goodwill Ambassador Kim Hye-ja donated 100 million won for earthquake damage recovery in Turkye and Syria.”
Goodwill Ambassador Kim Hye-ja expressed her intention to donate to World Vision and said, "When I heard the news of the great earthquake, my heart ached thinking about the children who suddenly lost their beloved families and homes and were exposed to danger. I wanted to ease their pain even just a little bit. “It was added,” he said.
He continued, “I feel sad that a month has passed and many people have already forgotten us. As much as the initial emergency relief was provided, we need continued help and attention for reconstruction and recovery in the future. Many people are asking for continued support for the children there. “I hope you show interest and love,” he added.
In accordance with Goodwill Ambassador Kim Hye-ja's wishes, the entire donation will be used for basic drinking water, sanitation/health projects, food and daily necessities, temporary shelter support, and child protection projects for children and families suffering from the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
Goodwill Ambassador Kim Hye-ja has been spreading her positive influence by taking the lead in emergency relief and recovery projects not only after the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria, but also around the world. Starting with donations to victims of the 2005 Pakistan earthquake, donations were also made during the 2015 Nepal earthquake. Then, in 2010, he personally visited the site of the great earthquake disaster in Haiti, met with children who lost their families in the earthquake, and delivered a message of consolation.
